"Hi. I would like to give a testimonial for Joe Jo's Pizza and Gelato in Ephraim, Wisconsin. My husband and I live in Milwaukee, WI and every year we come up to Door County and stay at our timeshare (The Rushes). We have special restaurants that we like to go to when we come up. Joe Jo's Pizza is now on our list.
Two weeks ago we were driving around Egg Harbor and Fish Creek looking for a pizza restaurant for lunch. I know there aren't a lot of restaurants open during the off season but we are always looking for new ones that open.
Dick and his wife, Kathy greeted us. The restaurant was spacious and very clean. They had a Christmas tree in the front part of the restaurant. The whole place had an old fashion feeling about it. We were there about two hours and had one of the best times at a restaurant in Door County. Dick and Kathy came over by our table and talked about them taking over the business. I told them I felt the best pizza I ever had was from Balistreri's Pizza in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. I told Dick that I would critique his pizza and see where I would put it. A few minutes later Dick brought us the pizza on a stand. It smelled delicious and looked scrumptious. The pieces were cut in small box slices which I really liked. My husband and I took our first piece and it was absolutely wonderful. The spices were perfect and the sauce was delicious. I loved the thin crust, it tasted so good. A few minutes later we looked at the pizza tray and saw that it was empty. We both laughed and said, "How did we eat the whole pizza that fast?" Well, I want you to know that Joe Jo's Pizza is as good as Balistreri's Pizza and that's the best compliment I can give to a pizza restaurant. We will be back next year and will bring people along to enjoy this delicious pizza.
